ALAS... 2020 SWIM IS CANCELLEDLong Bridge Swim in Sandpoint, Idaho

We're sorry to say, but our 2020 Long Bridge Swim has been cancelled.

Our annual swim was scheduled for August 1, 2020. The decision to cancel came after due consideration of the many factors arising from the COVID-19 outbreak, and our desire to keep swimmers, volunteers and spectators safe.

Race Director Jim Zuberbuhler provides more details on our decision to cancel.

Would you like to donate? The mission of our initiative is to see that no child in Bonner County gets past third grade without learning to swim. Especially in this year, with the 2020 race cancelled, we hope for additional donations to support this life-saving and life-changing program. Please, if you can donate, do donate!

BE SURE TO SAVE OUR 2021 DATE!

If you are not acquainted, our annual Long Bridge Swim is held the first Saturday in August. Located in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho, this 1.76-mile swim across Lake Pend Oreille is one of the Northwest's premier open-water events. Because it parallels the namesake Long Bridge into Sandpoint, it offers the unique chance for friends and family of swimmers to follow along the swim course from the bridge.
